Holstein Beef Steak


Holstein Beef Steak Ingredients

  1. Ground beef fresh 200 grams
  2. Minced pork fresh 200 grams

  7. Fresh parsley 25 grams
  8. Butter 50 grams

Cooking the steak in Holstein style:

Step 1: prepare onions.


Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and then rinse thoroughly under running water. We put two onions on a chopping board and chop finely with squares. Pour the crushed component into one clean plate.

The remaining onions are also laid out on a cutting board and cut into rings. We move them to another free plate and leave them aside for a while.

Step 2: prepare the parsley.


We wash the parsley under running water, shake off excess liquid and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, finely chop the greens and pour into a clean plate.

Step 3: prepare the dill.


We wash the dill under running water, shake off excess liquid and put it on a cutting board. Grind the greens with a knife and pour it into a plate with parsley.

Step 4: prepare the green onions.


We wash green onions under running water, shake it off excess liquid and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, grind the component and pour into a separate plate.

Step 5: prepare the minced meat for the dish.


In a medium bowl, spread the beef and pork forcemeat, as well 1 egg, finely chopped onions, salt and black pepper. Using a tablespoon, mix everything thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is formed. Attention: the better the meat is mixed, the tastier and juicier the steaks will be. After this, pour the chopped parsley and dill into the container and again mix everything until smooth.

Step 6: prepare the steak in Holstein style.


Put in the pan 25 grams butter and put on medium heat. When the container with the contents warms up well, we begin to cook the steak. We clean minced meat with clean hands into 4 parts and form flat cutlets about the size of a palm. Fry the dish on both sides until golden brown. Now, using a wooden spatula, we transfer the steaks into a free small bowl, cover with a lid from the pan and put in a warm place so that they do not cool.

Add the remaining butter in the pan and spread the onion rings. Fry the component for 2 minutes, occasionally stirring it with a wooden spatula. The onion should lightly brown, but still be crispy. Immediately after that, put it on a clean plate and leave it for a while aside.

Using a knife, break the eggshell and carefully pour the protein with the yolk into the pan. Fry the fried eggs and after a wooden spatula we transfer it to a free plate. Attention: we fry the eggs in turn so that they do not stick together and lose their shape during the cooking process.

Step 7: serve the steak in Holstein style.


Put the beef steak on a special flat plate, put the fried onion rings on top and cover the dish with fried eggs at the end. Sprinkle with chopped chives before serving. The Holstein steak is very tasty, aromatic and satisfying. Such a dish can only be eaten with fresh vegetables and bread.

Recipe Tips:

- Instead of pork or ground beef, you can use chicken or turkey. Ideally, it is best to cook minced meat with fresh meat, using a meat grinder with a thin grill or a blender;

- if you use a large pan, then in order to save time, you can fry all eggs at once;

- so that the steaks do not cool, you can put them near the stove, and in the winter season on the battery, wrapped in a cloth towel.
