Ingredients for Making a Simple Pumpkin Pie

For the test

  1. Wheat flour 500 rubles

Making a simple pumpkin pie:

Step 1: prepare the pumpkin.


The pumpkin should be washed thoroughly from the outside, then peeled from a hard peel, and the remaining pulp cut into medium-sized pieces, so that it is convenient to hold them in your hand.

Grate the peeled pumpkin pulp on a coarse or medium grater.

Step 2: knead the dough.


Pour the sifted flour into a clean plate, make a crater on top of the formed hill. Sprinkle salt and add a small amount of vegetable oil.

Now add gradually cold (this is important) water and begin to knead the dough gradually.

Pour out all the water gradually. So that you get a homogeneous and pretty cool mass.

Step 3: roll out the dough.


Kneading the dough, divide it into 4-6 equal parts.

Take one of the parts at once and roll it into a thin layer on a floured tabletop

The dough needs to be rolled out really very thinly, but be careful not to tear it.

Step 4: form a simple pumpkin pie.


Grease the rolled dough with vegetable oil.

Put grated pumpkin on half of the layer, but not all, part, by itself, so that it will be enough for the remaining dough.

Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top of the pumpkin, approximately 1-2 tablespoons one and the other.

Now wrap the left and right edges of the dough inward, and then, starting from the edge with the pumpkin, and ending with the edge free from the filling, wrap everything in a roll, tightly holding it at the end.
In the same way, roll the remaining pieces of dough and pumpkin.

Lubricate the baking dish with butter, and then put your rolls with pumpkin in it. Let them lie tight to each other. Spread them with a little vegetable oil and on top too.

Make cuts across the rolls on the cake to make squares.

Step 5: bake a simple pumpkin pie.


Bake a simple pumpkin pie in preheated 180 degrees oven for 45-50 minutes.

Remove the finished cake from the oven, sprinkle with powdered sugar and, having cooled slightly, serve for dessert.

Step 6: serve a simple pumpkin pie.


Serve a simple pie with pumpkin for tea. This dessert is for its own, as it is very simple and, as they say, without frills, but for home tea drinking - that’s it.
