Octopus Salad Ingredients

For salad

  1. Octopus 500 grams
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Pepper to taste
  4. Vinegar to taste
  5. Tomatoes 300 grams
  6. Iceberg Salad 500 grams
  7. Red onion 1 piece
  8. Green onion 1 bunch

Cooking Octopus Salad:

Step 1: Cook the Octopus.


First of all, you need to clean and cook the octopus. You need to cook the meat of this marine inhabitant in water with salt, pepper and a little vinegar. It is also advisable to add a bay leaf for flavor. Cook the octopus for about 1 hour.
In the meantime, the main ingredient of the salad is being prepared, you have time to prepare the rest.

Step 2: prepare the vegetables.


Rinse green onions (only the green part is needed) and chop finely with a knife.

Peel red onion, rinse with cool water and cut into thin strips.

Rinse the tomatoes, cut into slices and peel, just removing it with a knife. Crush the remaining pulp into small cubes.
Do not forget about lettuce leaves, they need to be washed and dried, and then torn into large pieces.

Step 3: fry the octopus.


Fry the boiled octopus in a pan with olive oil. Then put it on paper towels to remove excess fat. It is best to fry the octopus in oil just before serving the salad, so that the seafood is warm and sets off the taste of the rest of the ingredients.

Step 4: mix the salad with the octopus.


Place lettuce on a serving plate. On top of them fit pieces of fried-boiled octopus. Then put the pulp of a tomato.

Sprinkle the salad with green and red onions on top. It will turn out a very bright dish. And it looks appetizing, but the salad is not ready yet!

Step 5: add the dressing.


Mix separately in the bowl all the ingredients for dressing, turning them into a uniform sauce, and then pour everything into the salad, trying to distribute evenly.
Mix all the ingredients lightly and serve the finished octopus salad to the table!

Step 6: serve the octopus salad.


The octopus salad is delicious and spectacular! It will be appreciated by those who who prefer healthy food, and those who just like to eat tasty food. Thanks to truffle oil, the dish acquires a bright aroma, it is simply impossible to resist!
