For meatballs

  1. Canned Mushrooms 150 grams
  2. Green onion 2 bunches
  3. Butter 50 grams
  4. Meat broth 250 grams
  5. Cream 300 milliliters
  6. Bulgarian pepper 1 piece
  7. Wheat flour 1 tablespoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Pepper to taste
  10. Parsley to taste
  11. Lemon juice optional

Cooking meatballs baked in the oven with cream sauce and mushrooms:

Step 1: prepare the minced meat.

Soak a slice of bread in water or milk, and then squeeze and mix with minced meat. Add grated peeled potatoes, chopped garlic, chopped parsley, thyme, salt, pepper and nutmeg to this. Mix everything thoroughly. Add the egg and knead the minced meat very well again.

Step 2: form the meatballs.

Form the meatballs with your hands wet with oil. The meat balls in size should be about 3 centimeters each.
Put the prepared meatballs immediately on a heat-resistant baking sheet covered with baking paper.

Step 3: bake the meatballs.

Preheat the oven to 160-180 degrees (the exact choice of temperature depends on your oven, the main thing is not to dry the minced meat) and send a baking sheet with meatballs into it. Cook until the meat is browned on one side, then turn the meat balls over and brown them in the oven and on the other side.

Step 4: prepare the sauce.

While the meatballs are baked, prepare a creamy sauce and mushrooms. First, rinse and cut into small pieces mushrooms, green onions and bell pepper.

Melt and heat the butter in a saucepan. Put mushrooms, peppers and green onions in it. Add flour and stew, stirring all the time, until the liquid almost thickens. The main thing is to mix well, otherwise the flour will stick together into lumps.

Pour the broth into the pan with vegetables and mushrooms, add cream and, stirring all the same, boil everything together over medium-low heat. Season the sauce with herbs, salt and pepper, you can also add a little lemon juice for a slight sourness.

Step 5: bake meatballs in the oven with cream sauce and mushrooms.

Meanwhile, the meatballs should have cooked, remove them from the baking sheet.

Lubricate the mold with butter, put the meatballs in it and pour them on top with a creamy mushroom sauce. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and return to the oven for another 15 minutes. All the same with 160-180 degrees.

Step 6: Serve the meatballs with cream sauce and mushrooms.

Serve the meatballs right after cooking. They go well with mashed potatoes, pasta or rice. Also, fresh or pickled tomatoes or a light vegetable salad do not interfere on a plate with meatballs. And be sure to pour everything on top with the cream sauce remaining in the baking dish. Just imagine how good these meatballs will look on your dining table!
