Ingredients for making salad with sprats

Cooking salad with sprats:

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients and seasoning.


First you need to boil the potatoes. Cook it directly in the peel, the main thing is to ensure that the water completely covers the root crops during the entire cooking process. Cook potatoes until it is easily pierced with a fork or knife. After cool the vegetables, peel them and cut the potatoes into large cubes.
Peppers and onions should also be peeled and rinsed well. Cut the pepper into thin strips and the onion into small cubes. After you chop the onion, put it in a small plate, salt and pour lemon juice on it. Cover and let it sit for a few minutes.
At the same time, prepare a salad dressing. And it will be an ordinary home-made mayonnaise; those who have cooked already know that for the rest I will describe the process in more detail. It's simple: mix one egg yolk with 1 teaspoon mustard and salt, and then add a little vegetable oil, constantly vigorously mixing mayonnaise with a mixer. When the mass is thickened, add lemon juice to it, it may need a little more, add lemon juice until you get the mayonnaise of the desired consistency.
Open the sprats and drain the oil from them. Remove heads and tails from fish.

Step 2: Mix the salad with sprats.


Mix potatoes with mayonnaise first. Mash it with a fork. Then add pepper and onion, draining excess fluid from it. Shuffle everything together. Salt and pepper to taste. Add more dressing if necessary.

At the very end, add sprats, leaving a little to decorate the finished dish.

Step 3: Serve the salad with sprats.


Transfer the prepared salad with sprats into a beautiful salad bowl, decorate it with the remaining fish, slices of sweet pepper and fresh herbs, if you want. That's all! Serve such a salad immediately after cooking.

Recipe Tips:

- If you did not find red onion, take the usual white one, only to remove excess bitterness from it, soak pieces of onion in boiling water, changing the water several times.

- You can add olives, olives or pickles to this salad, for example.
