Ingredients for cooking Stroganov’s liver
- Liver 500 grams
- Butter 100 grams
- Wheat flour 1 tablespoon
- Onions 2-3 pieces
- Sour cream 1 cup
- Tomato paste 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste

Cooking the liver in a strict manner:
Step 1: Prepare the liver.
If the liver is bought in a store, then it can be soaked in milk to remove any bitterness. But it is optional. But what exactly needs to be done is to rinse the liver well, clean it of the films, bile ducts and dry it with paper towels.
Cut the prepared liver into small cubes or a thin straw.
Step 2: Prepare the onion.
Peel onions, rinse with cold water and cut into small pieces.
Heat a little butter in a pan and fry the onion in it until golden brown. In this case, often stir the contents of the pan so that nothing burns.
Step 3: Prepare the flour.
Fry wheat flour in a dry frying pan until creamy. During frying, flour must be constantly mixed, otherwise it will simply burn.
Step 4: Fry the liver.
Melt the remaining butter in a pan and place the liver pieces in it. Sauté until brown on all sides.
Add salt and black pepper to taste, mix and pour the fried flour here. Mix very thoroughly.
Step 5: Cooking the Stroganoff liver.
Add the fried onions, sour cream and tomato paste to the liver pan. Stir everything again, bring to a boil and continue to simmer over medium heat until the liver is ready. After that, remove the liver in a Stroganov style from the heat and serve right there.
Step 6: Serve the Stroganoff liver.
Stroganoff liver should be served hot for lunch or dinner. Something light, such as boiled rice, pasta, spaghetti, or mashed potatoes, is suitable as a side dish. It turns out a very tasty, satisfying and nutritious dish for the whole family!
