Ingredients for Making Zucchini Jam
- Zucchini 2 kilograms
- Sugar 2 kilograms
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice 2 tablespoons

Cooking squash jam:
Step 1: Prepare the zucchini.
Be sure to prepare all the ingredients in advance: squeeze the juice from the lemon and pour the right amount of sugar. Rinse the zucchini properly using a brush, and then cut them into small pieces of arbitrary shape.
Attention: if you chose not young zucchini, but more mature vegetables, they must be peeled and the seeds removed from their core.
Step 2: Prepare the Ginger Root.
Peel the ginger root by peeling it with a knife. And then grind it with a fine grater. If desired, ginger can just be chopped very finely.
Step 3: Cook the squash jam.
Put slices of zucchini in a saucepan, cover with sugar, mix well and cook on low heat. You need to cook vegetables until they let the juice and boil. It usually takes 12-15 minutes.
Pour lemon juice into boiling squash jam and sprinkle grated ginger root. Mix thoroughly again and let the mixture boil again 2-4 minutesso that all the flavors and tastes are mixed.
That's all. Remove the finished squash jam from the fire and pour it into sterilized and heated glass jars, tightly close it with boiled lids and roll it up for the winter. When the workpiece cools down, it can be hidden in the cellar or closet, in general, where you store other workpieces.
Step 4: Serve the zucchini jam.
Serve squash as a dessert with tea. It will perfectly warm you in the winter with its taste and a beautiful, sunny yellow color.
