Cooking potatoes with meat and cheese:

Step 1: prepare the pork.


We thoroughly wash the pork under running warm water to remove any fragments from the bones and other dirt, and then wipe it with kitchen paper towels. We spread the meat on a cutting board and use a knife to clear the veins and films. Now we cut the component across the fibers with thin plates, like chops.

We beat each piece from two sides, using a kitchen hammer. Important: so that during the action juice from the meat is not sprayed throughout the kitchen, be sure to place the pork in a plastic bag or cover with cling film. Finished pieces on both sides are rubbed with a small amount of salt and ground black pepper and briefly placed in a small bowl. Let the component soak in spices.

Step 2: prepare the onions.


Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and then rinse thoroughly under running warm water. Then put the component on a cutting board and cut it lengthwise into two halves. At the end, we cut across each piece with thin half rings and immediately move them into a free plate.

Step 3: prepare hard cheese.


We spread the hard cheese on a cutting board and cut it into thin slices with a knife. The crushed component is moved to a clean plate and briefly left aside.

Attention: for cooking, cheese can also be chopped on a coarse grater directly above the plate. The taste of this for potatoes with meat will not change. Therefore, we do it as you like.

Step 4: prepare the potatoes.


Using a vegetable cutter, peel the potatoes and rinse thoroughly under running warm water to remove residual soil and other dirt. Next, put the tubers on a cutting board and use a knife to cut into thin circles. Attention: the smaller the pieces, the faster the dish will bake. Shredded vegetables are transferred to a medium bowl.

Step 5: prepare potatoes with meat and cheese.


Using a pastry brush, grease the bottom and walls of a deep baking dish with a small amount of vegetable oil. Then, with the first layer, spread the pieces of pork here so that they evenly fill the area of ​​the container.
Sprinkle the meat on top with half onions.
Now put the potato circles in several layers and sprinkle each level with a small amount of salt and ground black pepper. Important: Do not forget that we have already done this operation with meat, so that subsequently our dish will be tasty and moderately sharp.
Put the hard cheese in a baking sheet with the last layer and immediately grease it with a small amount of mayonnaise, leveling the surface of the dish with a tablespoon.
Turn on the oven and heat it to temperature 200-220 degrees. Immediately after that we put the deep form on the middle level and bake potatoes with meat and cheese for 60 minutes. After the allotted time, it is necessary to check the degree of readiness of the dish. To do this, with the help of kitchen tacks, we do not fully reach the container and pierce the components in several places with the knife edge. If the inventory easily enters the pulp of potatoes and meat, then everything is ready and you can turn off the oven. If not, then it’s worth extending the baking time yet for 10-15 minutes. Also another sign of the readiness of the dish is a golden golden cheese crust. At the end, turn off the oven, and take out the form with the help of kitchen tacks and set aside.

Step 6: serve the potatoes with meat and cheese.


When the potatoes with meat and cheese cool slightly, with a knife we ​​cut the dish in portions. Then, using a wooden spatula, gently move the dish from the mold onto a special plate. Without hesitation we serve everything to the dining table and offer guests to taste potatoes with meat under a cheese crust along with fresh vegetable salads, as well as with a glass of dry red wine.

- if you want the dish to cook faster, then chop the potato tubers using a vegetable cutter. So the pieces will be thinner and soon baked;

- what kind of cheese to use does not matter. The main thing is that it belongs to hard grades. For example, it may be Dutch (more fat) or Russian (more salty) cheese, but in any of the options the dish will turn out to be tasty and aromatic;

- instead of pork, you can take beef, veal, as well as sirloin of chicken or turkey;
