Burrito Ingredients

Cooking burrito:

Step 1: Prepare the onion and garlic.

Peel the onion and cut into half rings or cubes, as you prefer. We shift to a small plate.

Peel the garlic and grate it, or you can use the garlic. We send garlic on a plate to the onion, so as not to wash another plate.

Step 2: Prepare the cheese.

We will need cheese at the very end of the preparation of the burrito, you can grate it in advance or until the filling cools down so as not to waste time. Grated cheese leave on the board or three immediately on a plate.

Step 3: Prepare the filling for the burrito.

We put the pan over medium heat, pour the vegetable oil and slightly heat it. Spread onion and garlic, fry for about 5 minutes, stirring from time to time, so as not to burn. The onion should become translucent and soft, and the garlic warm in oil.

Spread minced meat and chili pepper in a pan. If the jalapenos are canned, as in this case, then in the bank, most often, it is already chopped. Then it remains only to get the required number of pieces. Jalapeno is a small pepper, so 6-7 pieces are enough. If you like spicy, you can add more. Just be careful, otherwise it will turn out to be super sharp burrito, not everyone likes this. If you have fresh jalapenos (or other chili peppers), chop them first.
Minced meat can be taken either beef or chicken. Pork is not very suitable. But in any case, the choice is yours.

Stuff the minced meat with vegetables, salt and fry for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Then add canned tomatoes in their own juice (whole or sliced). They are already peeled. Of course, you can use good fresh tomatoes. Scald them and carefully remove the skin. This procedure will become much easier if, before pouring boiling water over the tomatoes, make a cruciform, shallow incision on them.

Now it's the turn of corn and beans. Add them to the minced meat, mix and simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat. Try on salt and add black ground pepper.

To make the taste more saturated, add tomato paste. Stir and simmer until tender. Ready time is determined by the amount of liquid in the pan, it should remain quite a bit. At the very end, try again, if necessary, salt and add black pepper. Turn off the heat and leave the finished stuffing to cool.

Step 4: Make Burrito.

It is better not to cook a burrito in advance, the cake can become a little sour from the sauce. So, we put tortilla on a plate, put the filling in the center, sprinkle with grated cheese. We cover the filling with the edges of the tortilla on both sides or fold the tortilla with an envelope. One end should be wrapped with foil, about to the middle of the burrito. Put the burrito on the wire rack and put it in the oven for several minutes, preheated to 200 degreesto melt the cheese inside.

Step 5: Serve the burrito.

Once the burrito has been removed from the oven, serve immediately. A good addition would be a salad of fresh vegetables or just greens: parsley, green onions, lettuce.

Recipe Tips:

- Before putting the filling, you can put one or two on the tortilla, depending on the size, of the lettuce.

- Cheese can be put not only on the filling. Fold the rolled burritos onto a baking sheet or a suitable baking dish and sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Of course, in this case it is not necessary to wrap one end in foil. Place the burrito in the preheated oven for several minutes to melt the cheese on top.

- Instead of tortilla, you can use thin Armenian pita bread, it’s not quite burrito, but also tasty. Pita bread must first be cut into approximately three parts.
