Oven-baked marinated pork ingredients

Inventory:

A large plate (glass or enameled), baking foil, a kitchen knife, a garlic press, a grater, disposable paper towels, kitchen oven mitts, a knife for cleaning vegetables.

Cooking marinated pork baked in the oven:

Step 1: Prepare the pork.


For baking, always take a good piece of pork, without veins, seeds and with a small layer of fat. Before cooking, the meat is cleaned of film and fat, just cut off all the excess with a knife. Then wash the pork with cool running water and wipe it with disposable paper towels.

Step 2: Marinate the pork.


Place a slice of pork in a deep plate. Important: dishes should be glass or enameled, but in no case not aluminum. Pour the meat with white wine, and then add the peas of black pepper, thyme, basil, bay leaf, salt, black pepper, oregano, coriander. Hand rub the spices throughout the piece and massage it well. Cover the dishes with cling film or a lid to avoid debris, and let the pork marinate for 2 hours. During this time, the wine will make the meat soft, and seasonings will add a spicy taste and aroma. You do not need to put it in the refrigerator, but if you are going to extend the process for the whole night, it is better to put everything to cool.

Step 3: Prepare the carrots.


While pork is soaked in marinade, there is time to prepare other ingredients. For starters, carrots. Rinse the roots and peel them. Then grind the vegetables with a grater or simply cut into thin strips.

Step 4: Prepare the garlic.


Separate the cloves of garlic from the head and peel, cutting off the tips. To prepare this dish, in my opinion, it does not matter how you chop the garlic. You can finely chop it, but you can sell it in a special press.

Step 5: Prepare the pork for baking.


Take out the pickled meat, shake and wipe off excess moisture and adhering seasonings with a disposable paper towel. Drain the marinade from the plate. Pepper pork again with red and black pepper, as well as salt, ginger and do not forget about paprika. On top of all seasonings, wipe the meat with garlic.

Step 6: Bake the pork.


Spread the foil so that you can easily wrap a piece of pork in it afterwards. It is best to lay out two large sheets superimposed on each other with a cross. Place the grated carrots on the foil, and then pickled pork on it. Wrap the foil very tightly with your fingers closing the edges. Transfer the wrapped piece of meat to the baking tray.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and bake meat in it for 50-60 minutes. But for 10-15 minutes until ready, the foil on top needs to be slightly incised and bent to form a small hole. Thanks to this, the meat is covered with a light toasted crust. At the end of cooking, pierce the pork with a knife or fork, if clear juice flows from it, then the dish is ready, if the juice is cloudy or pink, then you should leave the meat in the oven for some more time. Important: baking time directly depends on the size of a piece of pork meat, so if your piece is larger than indicated in the recipe, then extend the total cooking time.

Step 7: Serve the marinated pork baked in the oven.


Oven-baked pork is good both hot and cold. Therefore, it is not necessary to serve it to the table immediately after cooking. Such meat is much better and healthier than sausage, so incredibly tasty sandwiches and salads are obtained with it.

Recipe Tips:

- Some recipes also recommend baking pork with onions or tomatoes.

- White wine is best suited as a marinade, but if you couldn’t find it at hand, you can use balsamic vinegar or lemon juice.

- To reduce the time required for marinating meat, you can make small longitudinal cuts on it or initially take a smaller piece.

- The foil can be completely replaced with a special sleeve for baking.
