Cooking chicken legs in the oven:
Step 1: Prepare the chicken legs.
Prepare chicken legs in the way that suits you best. Do not forget to check if they are well plucked and rinse the chicken with cold water after defrosting. If you prefer small pieces, then cut the legs, dividing them with a knife along the joint. At the end, wipe the chicken with disposable paper towels to get rid of excess moisture.
Step 2: Prepare the potatoes.
Choose only large potatoes, without visible damage. Of course, before cooking, you need to peel them off, the easiest way to do this is with a special appliance. It is also important to get rid of the eyes, just picking them out with the tip of a kitchen knife. Rinse the peeled potatoes under a stream of cool running water and crumble in large cubes. This is important, because small pieces can fall apart during cooking and turn into mashed potatoes.
Step 3: Prepare the garlic.
Separate the cloves of garlic from the head and, rubbing them between the fingers, remove the husk. Cut the tip as well. Grind clean cloves with a special press, turning them into pulp.
Mix chopped garlic with mayonnaise in a small bowl. Stir until the mass is sufficiently homogeneous.
Step 4: Bake chicken with potatoes in the oven.
Prepare the oven by setting it to heat to 210-220 degrees Celsius. In the meantime, it reaches the desired temperature, coat the heat-resistant baking sheet with vegetable oil. Put potato slices on the bottom of the pan, adding salt and pepper to taste. Lay chicken legs on top, also well greased with spices. On top of all ingredients, apply a mixture of garlic with mayonnaise and try to evenly distribute it. Loaded baking sheet place in the oven and bake the dish 50-60 minutes until ready. During this time, the potatoes will become soft, the chicken meat will easily move away from the bones, and the mayonnaise will turn into a ruddy and mouth-watering crust. This all means that the dish is completely ready and you can safely proceed to serving it.
Step 5: Serve the chicken legs with potatoes.
Serve the chicken and potatoes straight from the oven. You can present the dish on one large plate, or you can immediately arrange them in portions, do as is customary in your home. That's it, now that the whole family is assembled and everyone has already become the happy owner of their portion of food, you can start a meal.
