Cooking potato casseroles with meat:
Step 1: prepare the meat.
This casserole is the perfect family breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is prepared from the simplest ingredients, it turns out delicious and very satisfying. So, for starters, wash under a stream of cold running water with a fresh tenderloin. After that, we dry it with paper kitchen towels, put it on a cutting board and use a sharp kitchen knife to remove a thin film from the pork, veins, cartilage, as well as bones, which very often remain on the meat after chopping the carcass. Then cut it into small cubes or slices of thickness within 1.5 centimeters and transfer to clean dishes.
Step 2: prepare potatoes and onions.
Then, using a clean knife, peel the peel from the potatoes and onions. We wash and dry the vegetables, take turns sending them to a new cutting board and continue the preparation. Shred potatoes in round layers, straws or cubes size not exceeding 5 millimeters. Chop onion rings or half rings 5 to 7 millimeters thick and distribute everything into separate small bowls.
Step 3: prepare the cheese and other ingredients.
Now we cut off the paraffin crust from the hard cheese and grind it on a small, medium or large grater into a small deep plate. Then preheat the oven up to 200 degrees Celsius, at the same time we put the rest of the products on the countertop, as well as the spices that will be needed to prepare the dish, and proceed to the next step.
Step 4: form a potato casserole with meat.
We take a non-stick or heat-resistant baking dish of medium size and cover it with an even layer of onion. On top of it we distribute pieces of pork, which we immediately sprinkle with a mixture of spices for meat and soak in half mayonnaise. Next comes the potatoes. It can be laid out figuratively, in an artistic mess or simply evenly, it all depends on the shape of the cut. Then season the slices of the vegetable to taste with salt, black pepper and spread the remaining mayonnaise on them so that it lies evenly and completely covered the potatoes.
The surface of the formed casserole is crushed with chopped cheese.
Tighten the dishes with the still raw food aluminum foil, trying not to leave cracks.
Step 5: bring the dish to full readiness.
Then we put the form in the oven preheated to the desired temperature on the middle rack and stand the dish there 40-45 minutes until all components are ready. After this time, with a knife, very carefully cut the top layer of the foil, spread its edges in different directions and leave the casserole in the oven for another 10-15 minutesto get browned.
As soon as its surface is covered with a golden crust, we put on kitchen gloves in our hands, rearrange the form on a cutting board, previously laid on the countertop, and allow the yummy to cool slightly. Then, using a spatula, divide the casserole into 4-6 servings, arrange them on plates and serve to the table.
Step 6: serve the potato casserole with meat.
Potato casserole with meat is served hot as a second main course. After cooking, it is slightly cooled, divided into portions, distributed into separate plates, decorate each twig with fresh herbs if desired and served on the table.
