Ingredients for making Ukrainian dances with cherries

For the test

Cooking Ukrainian dances with cherries:

Step 1: .

Take fresh or frozen seedless cherry berries. Put them in a colander and rinse under hot water. After washing, set the cherries to one side and let the excess water drain. Transfer the berries to a deep dish, sprinkle with sugar and let them stand like this for an hour.

Step 2: Knead the dough.

Sifting flour through a sieve, gradually knead it with a small amount of boiled, but not hot, water. Then add the oil there and soften it with our dough. Add sugar. Break eggs into a hotel plate and mix them, then pour to the rest of the mixture. The resulting mass for the test should be well kneaded.

Step 3: Bake the dough.

The form in which we will bake the dances, cover with baking parchment and sprinkle with flour. Thinly knead the dough and spread it into the prepared form. Lubricate with an egg.
We spread cherries on top of the dough, previously draining the juice from them. We send the workpiece to a preheated oven to 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Step 4: Cook the cream.

Break the eggs, separate the whites from the yolks. Stir the yolks with sugar until white. Add sour cream and pour the whipped whites separately there. Stir the mixture with a mixer, gradually pouring flour into it.

Step 5: Bake the dances.

We take out the baked base with cherries from the oven, sprinkle with sugar, and pour on top with sour cream. Put back to bake. Not for long, so that the sour cream top of the dances is baked. We take out the finished dish from the mold, cool it and only after that we cut it into squares.

Step 6: Serve the dances.

Finished Ukrainian dances with cherries are decorated with icing sugar and served as a dessert on the festive table.
