Ingredients for making zucchini casserole with minced meat

  1. Minced pork and beef fresh 500 grams
  2. Fresh zucchini 500 grams
  3. Tomatoes medium size 4-5 pieces

  6. Bulgarian red pepper medium size 1 piece

  8. Butter 1 tablespoon

  10. Cream or sour cream 100 milliliters
  11. Hard cheese 100 grams
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Ground black pepper to taste

Preparation of zucchini casserole with minced meat:

Step 1: prepare the zucchini.

Thoroughly rinse the squash under running water and put it on a cutting board. Using a kitchen knife, remove the edges of vegetables. Then cut the components into thin circles no more than 5 millimeters. We shred the ground zucchini on a clean plate and leave it aside for a while.

Step 2: prepare onions and Crimean onions.

Using a knife, peel the bulbs from the husks and rinse thoroughly under running water. We lay out the components on a cutting board and cut into two parts. Each half is finely chopped in half rings, trying to maintain its original shape. Gently shift the chopped onion into a free plate and proceed to the preparation of the next ingredient.

Step 3: prepare bell peppers.

Rinse the bell pepper thoroughly under running water and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, we clean the component from the tail and seeds. Now cut the vegetable into two halves and grind each one into thin strips. Pour finely chopped pepper into a free plate.

Step 4: prepare the tomatoes.

We wash the tomatoes under running water and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, remove the place to which the tail was attached. Now we cut the components with medium-thick circles and carefully move them to a clean plate.

Step 5: prepare the potatoes.

Using a peeler, remove the peel from the potato. Then thoroughly rinse the component under running water and put it on a cutting board. With the same improvised inventory, we chop the tubers with thin (rounded) plates and transfer to a free plate. Attention: if you can’t chop the potatoes with a peeler, then you can use a sharp small knife.

Step 6: prepare hard cheese.

Using a coarse grater, grind hard cheese directly on a cutting board. Immediately after that we transfer the chips to a clean plate and wrap them with cling film so that the component does not wind off while we are preparing the remaining products.

Step 7: prepare the minced meat.

Pour a small amount of vegetable oil into the pan and put on medium heat. When the contents in the container warms up well, put the minced meat here. From time to time, stirring with a wooden spatula, fry the component for 5 minutes. After the allotted time, turn off the burner, and add salt and black pepper to the minced meat to taste. Once again, we thoroughly mix everything with the improvised inventory and for a while we leave it aside to cool to a warm state.

Step 8: prepare the fill.

Using a knife, break the eggshell, and pour the yolks with squirrels into a small bowl. Add a pinch of salt and cream or sour cream here. Using a hand whisk, beat all the ingredients until a homogeneous mass is obtained from them.

That's it, the fill is ready, so you can proceed to the formation of the casserole.

Step 9: prepare the casserole from zucchini with minced meat.

Lubricate the bottom and walls of the baking dish with a piece of butter. Now spread the first layer 1/2 part zucchini slices and sprinkle with a little grated hard cheese. Place onion half rings on top. The third and fourth layers lay in the container strips of bell pepper and tomato slices. Again, cover everything with a small amount of cheese so that it still remains for the top of the casserole. Now put thin plates of potatoes and fried minced meat here. At the end, repeat the layer of zucchini circles and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

Turn on the oven and heat it to temperature 190 ° C. Immediately after that, fill the casserole with a mixture of eggs and cream and send the dish to the oven. Cooking it for 40 minutes until a golden brown crust forms on the surface.

After the allotted time, turn off the oven, and take out the form with the help of kitchen tacks and leave aside. The way the casserole cools down for 10 minutes.

Step 10:.

We cut the finished casserole from zucchini with minced meat using a knife into portioned pieces and put it on a special flat plate. We serve the dish with sour cream, various sauces to your taste, as well as slices of bread.

Recipe Tips:

- if you didn’t succeed in thinly slicing the potatoes, do not be discouraged. Just put the circles in the pan, fill with ordinary cold water and put on medium heat. After baking the liquid, boil the component until half ready. Only immediately after that, using a slotted spoon, we move the circles to the cutting board and allow to cool to a warm state;

- to prepare the filling, you can also use milk with a high percentage of fat content instead of cream or sour cream;

- casserole is best sprinkled with hard cheese, salty varieties. For example, it can be Russian, Kostroma and even Cheddar;
