Apple roll


Ingredients for Making Apple Roll

Dough:

  1. 4 eggs
  2. Wheat flour (sifted) 130 grams
  3. Sugar 130 grams
  4. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Filling:

  1. Apples 600 grams (5-7 pieces)
  2. Cinnamon 1 teaspoon or to taste
  3. Vanilla Sugar 1 teaspoon

Inventory:

Kitchen scale, kitchen knife - 2 pieces, cutting board - 2 pieces, bowl, tablespoon, wooden kitchen spoon, teaspoon, plastic wrap, refrigerator, oven, baking or parchment paper, non-stick baking sheet, deep bowl, mixer, metal kitchen spatula, linen napkin, dish towel, kitchen gloves, large flat dish, dessert plate.

Cooking apple roll:

Step 1: prepare the apples.


To begin with, take sweet and sour apples, rinse them under cold running water, dry with paper kitchen towels, cut each into 2 halves and remove the core with the stalk from them. Then, if desired, remove the skin from the juicy parts of the fruit and cut them into very thin layers up to 2 millimeters or shred on a fine grater.

We send the chopped fruits in a clean bowl and leave at room temperature on 2-3 minutes. After that, squeeze the juice from the apples, season them with cinnamon, vanilla sugar and mix everything with a tablespoon to a homogeneous consistency. Tighten the bowl with plastic wrap and set for a while in the fridge.

Step 2: prepare the dough.


Next, turn on the oven 180 degrees Celsius and cover the non-stick baking sheet with a sheet of baking or parchment paper.

Now put the raw chicken eggs in a deep bowl. We put it under the mixer blades and turn it on at medium speed. After a few minutes, increase the speed of the kitchen appliance to the maximum and beat the eggs until airy foam forms 3 minutes. After that, add sugar to them and mix still for 3-4 minutes until the grains are completely dissolved.

As soon as the mixture acquires a thick consistency resembling sour cream of medium fat content, turn off the mixer and add the food baking powder to the bowl. Then we begin to introduce sifted wheat flour there. We act slowly, spoon after spoon, at the same time kneading dough of medium density in a circle, like pancakes.

Step 3: bake the apple and flour base.


Now we spread the chopped apples on the prepared baking sheet and, using a tablespoon, distribute them around the entire perimeter in an even layer, retreating 2-3 centimeters from the edges.

Then fill them with dough, use a kitchen spatula to level the semi-finished flour product so that it covers the fruit completely on all sides, and put everything in a preheated oven on 15-20 minutes.

After this time, the layers will reach full readiness and the surface of the test will be browned. We put on the kitchen gloves and rearrange the baking sheet on a cutting board, previously laid on the countertop.

Step 4: form a roll with apples.


After that, we immediately drag the finished base onto the tabletop covered with a towel with the apple side up.

Separate the paper very carefully. If it is not removed, wet it with a damp cloth and remove easily.

Then, helping ourselves with a towel, we turn the hot base into a tight roll, send it to a large flat dish and completely cool to command temperature. Then we cut small pieces from the beginning and end of the roll so that the product has an attractive appearance. Sprinkle the cakes to taste with powdered sugar, divide it across into portions and serve to the table.

Step 5: serve the apple roll.


The roll with apples after formation is cooled, decorated with icing sugar, melted chocolate, cream, icing, whipped cream, sour cream or soaked in honey or condensed milk. Then the pastries are cut across in portions, laid out on special plates and served as a dessert on a sweet table.

This yummy is pleasant to relish with fresh refreshing drinks: coffee, tea, compote, warm milk, cocoa, homemade juice or soda. Enjoy it!

Recipe Tips:

- Very often, whites and yolks are whipped separately, the first to protein peaks, and the second to splendor and density. Then they are combined, the remaining necessary ingredients are added and the biscuit dough is kneaded;

- an excellent substitute for baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda;

- in the same way you can cook roll with pears, bananas or quince;

- If the apples are very sour, better season them with a tablespoon of granulated sugar.
